Katya Berger is a multimedia journalist, videographer, and producer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in French and English Literature from King's College London and a Master of Science in Journalism from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
She has worked as a freelance producer for Keep In News where she has led the production of political satire news segments, news reports, and TV documentaries. She has joined the teams of Quotidien avec Yann Barthès (TMC), Sept à Huit (TF1), and France 24, has created video content for UN Women, and has carried some of her own projects from concept to end.
Katya is collaborating with contemporary Gabonese artist Owanto on an immersive sound installation titled ‘One Thousand Voices’, composed of audio testimonies from Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting survivors from around the world. The piece has been exhibited at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) in Cape Town, the Museum of Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) in Marrakech, and the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Donnaregina (MADRE) in Naples, Italy,
